Today was our last day of English 9. I will miss you all and wish you all the best in your next semester classes.

These are days for students who may need extra support in order to be successful in their classes. I have made myself available on the following days to help students in room C103. During these two days in English 9 we worked in the library on our poetry final essays. Students were given the opportunity to type up their essays and it is due at the end of the block on Tuesday.
Reminder that passion for poetry projects are due on Wednesday and these will be presented in class. Unfortunately, if you are absent on Wednesday's class, you will not have the opportunity to present this project and will just be assessed on the written portion. NOTE: Updated prompt for #2 In Coldplay’s song “Viva la Vida” and Percy Bysshe Shelley’s “Ozymandias”, the ruler’s loss of power is ironic. Think about how the leaders in these poems had power and lost it and respond to the following prompt (the response to this will be your thesis): “it better to have power and lose it, than to never have it at all”. Do you agree or disagree with this statement? Use evidence from both poems to justify your answer. Homework: You are allowed to take the poems and your brainstorm home to work on at home. The rest of the essay will be done in class and handed in at the end of each block. What we did in English 9 today:
