Welcome Back / Functional Closure Plan Welcome back everyone! As we adjust to this new normal, there are a few things I’d like to go over with you all to ensure that we can make the most of our learning time together, be it online or in person. Safety protocols:

Sequence of a functional closure: Day 0 - The day we come to understand a functional closure is necessary. Day 1 - Teachers establishing connections with students. Day 2 - Learning activities begin. Days 3 to 10 - Learning activities continue as needed until school can re-open. Types of activities we will be doing if we go to online learning:
Please see attached for the passion for poetry project. Should we go online, and you need something to work on, you can get started on this. It will be due at the end of the unit.

Hello everyone. I hope you have all had a wonderful holiday break. Yet again we are finding ourselves in uncertain circumstances. This is just a reminder that there are no classes this week according to the Provincial Health Order. Learning will resume in class on January 10th. Please see the following parent letter from the Surrey Superintendent that was sent out last week.
Today in English 9, students had the chance to complete their short stories final unit assessment / symbols poster. They also had the chance to catch up on any missing assignments before the new year.
Since we have completed our unit before the break, you have no English homework on the break. Your only task is to enjoy the break with friends and family, relax, and READ. I hope you all have a restful break and I will see you all in the New Year. What we did today:
